Microsoft PowerShell 7.2.0 release candidate 1 now available for download


PowerShell development continues at a steady pace and Microsoft has just released a new candidate version with a fairly long changelog.

PowerShell 7.2.0 RC1 is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and over the next few days and weeks it will undergo further testing and improvements before being marked as a final release. The release candidate includes various changes and fixes, including using a newer version of .NET and resolving an RPM packaging issue.

It’s only been a week since Microsoft launched PowerShell v7.1.5, and this latest preview will be of interest to anyone who wants to be on the cutting edge, as well as anyone who has been impacted by the issues that have now been addressed.
