Chrome OS Linux app support leaves beta

Three years after Chrome OS began offering support for Linux apps, the feature is exiting beta, search giant says during a 2021 Google I / O development session. Google’s announcement came exactly one year after Microsoft announced support for Linux GUI applications in Windows 10. Microsoft recently began testing Linux GUI applications on Windows, and the feature is expected to launch for all users. later this year. In addition to announcing that its Linux development environment is coming out of beta, Google has shared a few more updates on Chrome OS.
